Falls Like Lightning: A Review

I am prejudiced.  There, I said it.  Never thought I was until I got this book, Falls Like Lightning, to review.  How can you be prejudiced against a book?  It wasn't the book, it was the author, Shawn Grady.  He's a man, a fact which he can't help.  I have always overlooked books written by men as I thought, "How could a man write a book to resonate with a woman"?  I know, I know.  You've got Nicholas Sparks, Charles Martin, and so on, but I really had a prejudice against them.

I begrudgingly started reading this book and guess what?  The man can actually write.  And I liked it, really liked it.  The characters were real, even the woman.  It was thrilling, you could tell he came from a background of firefighting.  I can say, in all honesty, I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good, fast-paced read.  Even if it's written by a man!

I was given this copy to review by the publisher.
