My Mess

'For I know the plans I have for you', declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'  Jeremiah 29:11

A literal mess that was our computer
desk several months ago-now clean!

I love this verse.  I love knowing He has a plan for my mess.  My 'mess' being the crazy life I've made for myself.  We've all done things in our past, and sometimes in our present, that we're not proud of.  Things we wish we could undo.  But thanks be to God, He can make something out of our mess!

Our Monday night Bible study group is starting What Happens When a Woman Says Yes to God by Lysa TerKeurst tonight.  I've peeked at the first week and I noticed she makes reference to her own messes in life.  I've heard her speak on this and she elaborates how He can take our mess and turn it into a message.  I loved this analogy when I first heard it and I'm hoping she talks about it again in session one.  We'll see...

Isn't it comforting to know that no matter how big of a mess we think we've made with our lives, He's got a plan up His sleeve?  From being a habitual liar or to murdering someone-if you give your life to Him, He will turn the mess into something for the Kingdom.  What kind of mess are you dealing with today?  Take some time, search your heart, and then spend some time with your Daddy.  Let Him show you what He can do with the mess.

I have done that book as a personal study and a group study. LOVE it!!! And this is one of my favorite verses. He knows what His plan is. He can make something beautiful out of our mess.

Love his ability to do something beautiful with our mess. Might need to do that study. We did Becoming More than A Good Bible Study Girl and it was great!

I just finished that one up with my Bible study girls! It makes an impact on me everytime! I love that the Messiah takes our mess and turns it into a message...one that glorifies Christ, not our mess!:) Let us know how it goes:))

You will love that study... we were all changed by it! Makes you thankful for your mess, because what good would we be to Him without it! Blessings!
