Same Ol', Same Ol'

The title today is Beltonian for 'I make the same New Year goal every year to lose weight and get healthier, but blow it by Jan. 2'.  Yep...every year.  And I know a lot of other ladies who do the same.  Well, this year it can be different.

Lysa TerKeurst co-founder of Proverbs 31 has written a new book entitled "Made to Crave".  It's gonna be awesome.  You can click on the link above to see it for yourself.  I know that God loves you just as you are.  It doesn't matter what you look like.  And I totally agree.  Thank God for that!  But what if your relationship with food overshadows your relationship with God?  Is that what He wants for your life?  I think not.

So pick up the book and a cup of coffee.  Read it.  Pray about it.  Seek Him.  Then head over to Melissa Taylor's blog January 17 at and join her and over 850 other ladies in the 6 week study on Made to Crave.  I think it'll change your life and your way of looking, thinking, obssessing about food!

I'll be there and I'm praying that my love/hate relationship with food and scales and all that goes with it will be history.  I can let that bondage go and move on with my relationship with my God.  Join me?

I am getting ready to start that book! I am part of a Bible study of twelve lovely ladies and we are doing Made to Crave starting Jan 11th. The books are sitting in my closet calling my name! :) I can not wait to start reading. Blessings!

Love Lysa and the book sounds great! Do you know Heidi and I went on a "stalking expedition" last year where we drove from Reno to California (3 hours) for one night just to meet Lysa!? We drove all night and got home the same night. I think we were in the car longer than listening to her actually speak!!! Happy New Year!

I can't wait to start on this book. I'm doing the study with my sweet sister, Jenifer. I want to crave God more than anything.
