Has God ever just knocked you right off your donkey? Just slapped you upside the head and said, "LOOK!" Paul thought that what he believed in was right. He was sure he was doing everyone a favor by getting rid of the Christians...but God had other plans for Him. What about us? What about the things that we are so sure that we are doing right? What if the path we've chosen seems like the right one, but God has other plans for us?
Are we willing to sit up and take notice when He upsets our little world? Are we willing to search His Word and spend time with Him to find out exactly what His plan for our life is? When you get knocked off your donkey (as Beth says) get up, dust off your traveling robe, and take notice of what He is trying to tell you!

Great post! I love "God spankings." They are always growth opportunities.
I loved this! I've had God "smack me upside the head" more than once over the years, and as Jenifer said it's always a growth opportunity. Thank you for this posting!
I love this, "Has God ever just knocked you right off your donkey? Just slapped you upside the head and said, "LOOK!" Oh yes. Everytime I start thinking its all about me and not about Him...thats when He slaps the sense right back into me! Im so thankful that its not about me at all!;)
P.S. Love the picture!
God has definitely knocked me off my donkey a few times. I've learned to love His discipline because it shows His great love for me.
Absolutely! I'd say most often it takes a major wake-up call, a fall from the donkey, for me to hear God. I am easily distracted and not great about tuning in, so He really has to make His presence known!
I just say Beth Moore this weekend live at a conference in Alabama. She was amazing -- an absolutely captivating speaker. I can't wait to read some of her work.
I've been knocked of my "donkey" and just like Paul I was never the same again... I've only been a Christian for 11 years and it was the last thing I ever thought I'd be. While I didn't murder Christians I did think they were nuts and I persecuted them in my own way. Now I'm the nut and praising Jesus that He chose me :)
Blessings,
Heidi
