Thankful Thursday...

It's the official month of Thanksgiving!  We should be thankful at all times, but November is the month that it's offcially celebrated.  So I thought that each Thursday until Thanksgiving, I'd share something I'm thankful for.  Not the run of the mill "my family, my health, God, etc." stuff, but something new and different that I didn't think I'd be thankful for (or something that is not what you'd normally feel thankful for).  Paul says to:

'pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.'  1 Thessalonians 5:17-18

So on this thankful Thursday I am thanking Him for allowing me to go back to work.  I didn't want to after 3 months of maternity leave, but I realize that I am not made to be at home 100% of the time.  It makes me irritable and I was starting to go just a little crazy.  I am thankful that I just work three days:  Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 630am-3pm.  I can't complain.  I have afternoons, weekends, and holiday's with my family.  My nurse manager is awesome!  My co-workers are terrific and the doctor's aren't too bad either.
I am thankful that God allowed me to switch jobs 5 years ago to a no weekend, no holiday position.  I am thankful that I have health insurance for my family.  I am thankful that the few days I am at work makes me appreciate the time I am home with my kids.
So, He turned what I was dreading into something that I can appreciate and be thankful for.  He is good to me and He loves me.  He is my Provider and my Sustainer.
Thank you Father!!
What about you?  What are you thankful for on this Thursday?

I couldn't help but include a little colonoscopy humor
(I'm an endoscopy/colonoscopy nurse)

This might sound strange, but I'm thankful for time. Both in the sense of having time to do things and in the sense of having that time run out. For exampe, I'm really glad the time for this semester is almost out. Even though it means I have a lot to do right now, it also means there will be a time of rest. That's pretty awesome considering that God is outside of time.
